Do you wish to offer your training or events to PLAIN-members?

PLAIN member organizations that wish to offer discounts on activities, such as conferences and courses, to other members are invited to submit their proposals through our online submission form. The Executive Committee of our board will review each proposal based on the following criteria and make a decision accordingly:

  • Added Value for Our Members: The activity must provide significant benefits to our members, for instance by being directly connected with plain language research, professional development, or training
  • No Conflicting Interests: The proposal must not present any conflicts of interest with PLAIN’s existing relationships or activities.
  • Alignment with Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan: The activity should clearly support and enhance PLAIN’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
  • Member and Board Alignment: The activity should align with the interests and needs of both our members and the board.
  • Significant Financial Advantage: The discount should offer a substantial financial benefit for both PLAIN members and the organization, for instance 25% or the price of an individual PLAIN-membership.
  • Membership Opportunity: Non-members should have the option to join PLAIN and take advantage of the discount.

We encourage interested organizations to complete our online form to begin the proposal process. Our Executive Committee is committed to ensuring that all selected activities align with our values and provide meaningful benefits to our members, and we might ask for a short evaluation report from participants after the activity.
